Composite or ceramic—which is better?+
Neither is universally better. Composite is conservative and repairable; ceramic may offer advantages for larger restorations. The tooth and bite guide the choice.
How long will a tooth-coloured restoration last?+
Longevity varies with size, location, bite, hygiene, diet and maintenance. No restoration should be presented as permanent.
Can old metal fillings be replaced?+
They can be assessed, but replacement is recommended only when there is a clinical or considered aesthetic reason.
